A core component of our values is being socially responsible. With this in mind, Stonecrest established the CapCon Foundation, funded directly from Stonecrest profits. The mission of the foundation is to improve human well-being through healing, recovery, and economic opportunity at a large scale.
The Foundation had the honor and privilege to host a Benefit dinner last week for Friends of Orphans, whose mission is to empower, rehabilitate and reintegrate former child soldiers of the LRA, abductees, child mothers, orphans and to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS in Uganda. We were able to hear from Ricky Anywar, the founder of the organization, the amazing story of how he came to be a leader in his community from a child soldier, who was forced to watch his loved ones die and go through the horrors of the war.
